A homage to the texture and warmth of Tulum, Mexico, Hotel Hacienda is a disruptor to the no-frills ho tel space filled with life and excitement.

alkimi studio was been engaged by Scape to undertake a strategic design for a repositioning of the hotel asset, located in Redfern, NSW. The goal was to reimagine the existing hotel in its entirely and transform it conceptually into a new hotel of Mexican motif. This included a lovely cantina on the gr ound floor serving up after work tacos and margaritas.

The project refurbishment over all five floors included an upgrade to the gr ound floor reception, the welcome space, bar (cantina), lifts and master suite. All 64 r ooms of the accommodation offer were upgraded to the relaxed and peaceful Tulum flavour, reflective of the Caribbean coastline town. The r ooftop is repositioned with new resort chic furniture.

Each guest who enters Hotel Hacienda feels at once welcomed and immersed in an atmosphere of charming Mexican cultural and artistic wonder.
