REST Super’s relocation from Kent Street to the prestigious Quay Quarter Tower presented an opportunity to rethink the workplace. Alkimi studio, engaged by Turner & Townsend, delivered a retrofit that prioritised sustainability, reuse, and efficiency while creating a modern office environment aligned with REST Super’s values.
SUSTAINABILITY AND REUSE
The design incorporated an extensive furniture and joinery reuse strategy, preserving existing assets and reducing waste. This approach aligned with REST Super’s sustainability principles while also delivering significant cost savings.
OLD AND NEW
Careful integration of reused pieces with new elements resulted in a cohesive environment that reflects the organisation’s identity. The design balances functionality with aesthetics to create a professional yet welcoming workplace.

Intelligent planning introduced dynamic zones for collaboration, alongside spaces for individual focus. The new workplace improves workflow, strengthens team interaction, and supports REST Super’s commitment to excellence.
